Thursdays are extra special for our Pre-Schooler as he gets to choose a book from the school library and bring the book home for a week!
As our toddler exercises autonomy in the selection, I get a gleam of his current interests, his concerns, and what makes him laugh out loud.
"What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you feel like it. That doesn't happen much, though." (J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye)

Daisy's Sleepover
The idea of this project is to take home a school's doll and write a story about the family's special time with her. You can say that we surely had fun with this assignment!
