If there's one thing I particularly enjoy about
working in the university, it's the continuous hubbub of academic discourse.
"What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you feel like it. That doesn't happen much, though." (J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye)

Minor Detour at Clare Valley
How about pausing here halfway through your
Clare Valley winery tour? The business has been going the last 10 years. Happy
to see that my babyccino now asks for the kids' section and makes his own way
to the shelves.

Quorn-chanted
There's a magical place tucked in the township
of Quorn. It must be some kind of fierce passion that keeps this business going
in this town with a population of about 1200. In Australia where most
establishments close at 5.00 p.m., it was enchantment to find this shop in the
middle of bushland still open at 9.00 p.m.!
